TL;DR: Five steps. Copilot can do most of them with one prompt each. After this, your pipeline produces qualified leads automatically.
Step 1 — Tell Copilot who you sell to (2 min)
Open Copilot and describe your customer in one sentence. Be specific.
> I sell developer-tooling SaaS to engineering managers at mid-market
SaaS companies (50–500 engineers), primarily NA and EMEA.
Copilot drafts a complete ICP with parameters in Filter / Score / Exclude modes. Review the preview, confirm to save. You can refine later.
Step 2 — Define the role you want to reach (1 min)
Inside the ICP you just created, add a Persona:
> for that ICP, build a Persona for engineering managers and senior managers,
5+ years in role, exclude IC roles.
Confirm. Your scoring engine now ranks every record on both ICP fit and Persona fit.
Step 3 — Turn on three signals (2 min)
Open Signals in the sidebar. The most-used three to start with:
- Replies — capture replies to your existing outbound sequences (auto-import from Smartlead, Apollo, or HubSpot Sequences)
- Demo Viewed — capture demo recording views from your video host (Vidyard, Loom, Wistia, or Mux)
- Keywords — track when target Personas post about your category on LinkedIn
For each, click Edit on the row → choose the source → toggle Autoqualify so new matches feed your ICP automatically. Click Save and Run.
Want Copilot to do it? > turn on the Replies, Demo Viewed, and Keywords signals — autoqualify everything that matches my Mid-market SaaS ICP.
Step 4 — Build your first audience (3 min)
Open Audiences → click + Add audience OR ask Copilot:
> build me an audience of qualified engineering managers from Mid-market SaaS
who fired any signal in the last 14 days, ranked by engagement score
Copilot translates that to a multi-condition filter and shows a live count preview. Confirm to save. The audience populates automatically and stays in sync as new records qualify.
Step 5 — Connect one destination (2 min)
Settings → Destinations → pick the tool you push to. The most common four:
Destination | Use it for
**HubSpot** | Sync qualified leads as Contacts; enrolled in workflows
**Salesforce** | Sync as Leads or Contacts; route via Process Builder
**Apollo** | Push to a sequence; cadence the outbound
**Smartlead** | Same; cold-email sequencer
OAuth into the destination, pick the default Audience to sync, set the field mapping. Done.
You're live
Your pipeline now: signals fire → records get scored → qualified records land in your audience → the audience syncs to your destination → outbound runs.
Tomorrow morning, open Copilot and ask > what fired overnight?. Daily standup, but for your pipeline.
